Hey Keegan, I'm back again! Am now trying to add swipe/touch support for the slideshow for my new personal website, but can't find any way to reference 'next' and 'prev' functions... if there a way to do this?

thanks for the code. could implement it easily.
I am wondering if I could change the transition between two slides in that way, that the current is fading out before the next one gets faded in. By default it the next image is first faded in before the current gets faded out. Cant figure out, what the best way it would be to do.

I absolutely love this - I need to add links to either the big images or the thumbnails but when i do FF/Safari will only do one cycle of the images whereas IE continues to loop.
Have you got any advice on how to get round this?
Fingers crossed

Hey Jamie,

Thanks, that's a good idea. It is very easy to implement a start method, so I have gone ahead and done that. You can get the updated code from https://github.com/keeganstreet/These-Days-jQuery-Slideshow-Plugin/

Cheers

Hi Keegan,

Great plugin. I was looking for a solution to adapt which uses CSS3, so this is perfect!

One thing, I would like to be able to pause on hover, so I've tried using the 'stop' function, but can't seem to work out how to start the transitions again. Is this a tricky one to implement, or can I achieve this using the existing code somehow?

That's great Samuel. I hope you can find some use out of it. If you add any improvements yourself you could commit them to your own fork on github. And maybe we can pull them into the main repository.

I was just about to write something to do CSS 3 transition-based hero banners then found this. Exactly what I was looking for, thanks!
